We reviewed these beverages on how refreshing they taste and their consistency. Would these be apt for the scorching summer heat?
1. Flavor
These beverages have two prominent flavors- one of Rooh Afza and the other of the fruit. We checked to see how in sync these flavors were and if or not both were present appropriately. Does the classic rose flavor pair well with that of fruits? Was the sweetness balanced?
2. Consistency
Fruit beverages can have a thick, pulpy consistency, or a watery, diluted one, depending on the fruit content and other ingredients that go in the making.
We gauged if the consistency was even throughout and was it refreshing.

1. Lemon
Our Experience
This had the lightest rose hue among the three we tried. The consistency was thin, but even, just like nimbu paani. As for the flavor, it had a subtle hint of the classic Rooh Afza rosy flavor, but was predominantly citrusy. The sweetness was balanced and the overall flavor was fresh and natural. Unlike commonly available packaged variants, this did not irritate the throat and neither was it overwhelming.

180 ml of the beverage is packed in a tetra pack and priced at Rs 20/- with a shelf life of six months. It is a lime green pack with a straw attached.
The main ingredients are water, sugar, lemon juice concentrate (0.8%), acidity regulator (INS 330, INS 331 (iii)), flavors (natural and nature identical flavoring substances), color (INS 124).

2. Pineapple Orange
Our Experience
In terms of consistency, this was relatively thicker than Lemon and had a slightly deeper tinge of pink. The fruit flavors (pineapple and orange) were proportionate but the aftertaste was more dominant on orange. This beverage did not taste bitter, neither was the sweetness artificial or industrial. On a comparative note, this felt a little more sweet than the first variant, but was refreshing nonetheless.

The price, net weight, and shelf life are the same as the above variant. This was an orange tetra pack with complimentary graphics and a straw. Water, sugar, orange juice concentrate (2.038%), pineapple juice concentrate (0.6717%), acidity regulator (INS 330), stabilizer (INS 440, INS 466), flavors (natural and nature identical flavoring substances), color (INS 124, INS 122, INS 102) are the ingredients used.

3. Mango
Our Experience
When comparing Mango to the above-two variants, this was the sweetest and the thickest. That being said, the sweetness was not undesirable or overpowering, neither was the consistency too heavy. Similarly, the shade was the deepest too.
This had the characteristic fresh fruity flavor of mangoes with a complimentary consistency.
