For our review process, we ordered a 200 gm carton of the Cadbury Oreo Milkshake Mix. It comes packed in an attractive blue color carton. Inside the box, the milkshake mix is placed in a white color pouch pack that is not resealable.
2. Taste
The main ingredients that go in the making of any milkshake include milk, ice cream and flavoring substances which could be fresh fruits, nuts, or spices. The level of sweetness in a milkshake can either make or break any milkshake.
When we tasted the Cadbury Oreo Milkshake Mix, the sweetness level was on the higher side. This is not necessarily a bad thing, if you keep the target audience in mind, i.e. children.
We also noticed that the crunchiness of the Oreo biscuits was missing in this milkshake mix.
3. Flavor
Flavor-wise, the Cadbury Oreo Milkshake Mix won our hearts. We loved the combination of vanilla and chocolate in this milkshake mix. The milkshake mix has a flavor that feels similar to that of the Oreo biscuit. The authentic flavor of Oreo biscuits is present in this Oreo milkshake mix.
4. Aroma & Appearance
We observed the aroma in two stages – dry form and once when it had turned into a milkshake. As we opened the pack, a strong aroma of Cadbury chocolate filled the review lab. In its milkshake stage, the aroma felt a lot like Oreo biscuits.
Appearance wise, the crushed pieces of Oreo cookies were not clearly visible. However, when we took the milkshake powder in our hand we could feel the crumbly pieces of Oreo cookies. This milkshake powder is a mix of grey-brown color.
5. Consistency
The list of ingredients mentioned on the pack includes Thickeners (466, 414). Thickener 466 also known as cellulose gum is commonly used in food products to lend a thick and creamy consistency. On the other hand, thickener 414 popularly known as Acacia gum works both as a stabilizer and thickener.
Consistency is a vital parameter for gauging milkshake mixes. We prepared the milkshake with a tetra pack of chilled Amul toned milk. Despite the milk having a thin consistency, the Cadbury Oreo Milkshake Mix lent a thickness to the milk.

There is no industrial aftertaste in this milkshake mix.

To conduct a taste test of the Cadbury Oreo Milkshake Mix we ordered a 200 gm box which is priced at INR 175. The instructions to prepare the Oreo milkshake mix were mentioned behind the pack.
We followed the same instructions to prepare this milkshake. On opening the pack, there was a strong aroma of Cadbury chocolate. We took about 400 ml of chilled Amul skimmed milk and 6 Tbsp of the milkshake mix.
It took about 10 to 30 seconds for the powder to completely dissolve in the milk. We stirred vigorously so that it combined well. After mixing, the milkshake had a muddy brown color which was far away from the picture as shown on the pack.
The milkshake lacks the signature Oreo-crunch. Though we liked the flavor of vanilla together with chocolate, the fact that it was overly sweet was a bit of a letdown.
