Our Review Factors

We have set the following review factors for HOI Momo Sauces review:

1. Taste

Two aspects were kept in mind: Spice levels and overall flavor profile.

Momo sauces are supposed to be spicy and leave a tingling sensation as you eat it. Do these momo sauces by HOI deliver the same?

Both red chilli and green chilli have very distinct flavor profiles. How well do they shine in the sauce? In addition, we also scanned the other ingredients used and how they impact the overall flavor of the sauce.

Our Experience

This is a red colored momo sauce where we could spot multiple specs of red chilli seeds.

Its consistency is similar to that of a typical dipping sauce. There were no chunks found whatsoever. It will work well as a dip with a variety of snacks including samosa, momos, spring rolls and other appetizers.

All in all, this momo sauce has a good amount of spice and is well-seasoned. With hints of garlic in the background, this tastes fresh and has a strong red chili flavor.

Our Experience

This is a green colored sauce with a dippable consistency. However, compared to the other variant this was slightly gloopy.

The prominent presence of green chili is not as robust as we would have liked. We have definitely tasted better green chilli sauces in our reviews before.

While the spice levels are medium, the overall experience is somewhat marred by the absence of the desired freshness. Having said that, the seasoning is well-balanced.

Taste - 3/5
Texture - 3/5
  • Well-balanced seasoning.
  • Ready to use.
  • Lacks freshness.
  • The punch of chilli is mild.

If you are looking for a medium spicy green sauce, this could be an ideal option to consider.
