Our Review Factors

The parameters we set while reviewing Bevzilla Instant Coffee cubes include the flavor, aroma, convenience, and economic value.

1. Flavor

Belgian chocolate has a smoother, fudge-like taste and mouthfeel. Coffee has a rich intense flavor that can vary from brand to brand. Do these instant flavored coffee-jaggery cubes showcase balanced flavors, or does one overpower the other? Considering that we won’t be able to adjust the sweetness, is the amount of jaggery added over the top? How do gur and coffee taste like?

2. Aroma

We tested the aroma as cubes and when turned into coffee. Were these prominent on coffee or chocolate? Did the aroma change? If yes, to what intensity?

3. Convenience

A cup, a cube, and some milk/water. Does this require something else?

4. Nutrition and Main Ingredients

As compared to a cup of black coffee and a sugar-free cappuccino, how different are the nutrition values? What ingredients do these coffee cubes use?

5. Other Parameters

The price, packaging, shelf life, and value for money were also considered.

Bevzilla Instant Coffee Cubes – Detailed Review

Price + Packaging

Each 10-gram coffee cube is wrapped in individual packs. There are 10 such cubes in a box. A 100-gram carton is priced at Rs 349/-. It has a shelf life of nine months.

Main Ingredients

100% Arabica coffee and date palm jaggery are the main ingredients used. It also contains nature-identical flavor.

This has zero refined sugar or preservatives.

We like how the brand uses a nutritious sweetener as compared to refined or low-calorie artificial sweeteners.

The calories in a cup of coffee can vary based on factors like the type of milk and sweetener used. Plant milk-based coffees will be slightly higher in calories as compared to that prepared with animal milk. Honey, date syrup, low-calorie sweeteners also add to the total caloric value.

Black coffee has 2 calories per cup, whereas a cappuccino or latte (180-200 ml) can have 130-170 Kcal) (without added sugar). One Bevzilla Coffee cube offer 27 Kcal per cup (180 ml) (without milk)

Per cup, this offers 6.2 grams carbohydrates, 0.15 grams of protein, 0.11 gram of fat. It also has 10 mg of caffeine, 7.12 mg of calcium, 8.89 mg of iron, and 48.44 mg of potassium. There is 0.06 mg of Vitamin B and 0.014% of fiber too.

How we made it?

Bevzilla coffee cubes can be added to hot milk and water and cold milk.

We tried all three methods.

180 ml liquid with one cube, and it was stirred until dissolved completely.

Flavor + Aroma

The aroma was desirable. It was an inviting blend of coffee nuttiness and the sweetness of chocolate and jaggery. The flavor was relatively more dominant on chocolate and jaggery than coffee. Surprisingly, this combination of jaggery and coffee worked wonderfully. Both hot coffees (black and milk) were comparatively more intense than the cold coffee.
