The first thing that you notice is the color of the collapsable colander which is very attractive. The collapsible part is made using silicone and the bottom tray, outer rim, and sliding handles are made using well-finished plastic. In some corners and edges, the plastic looks a little rough, so check for quality before you throw away the original packaging.

The colander doesn’t pop open. You will have to push it down to expand it. The side handles slide open horizontally and sit in a sink, making the drainage process much easier and hassle-free.
We used it for nearly two weeks and used it to wash different kinds of vegetables and drain pasta and noodles. As the drain holes are a little larger, we are not sure if this would hold small grains of rice. This is a sturdy product and can easily take the weight of vegetables and boiled noodles/pasta.

Moreover, it is extremely easy to clean. A mild detergent and a soft scrubber can do the trick. You do not need fancy techniques or detergents to clean this. This can also be washed in a dishwasher. Do not use metal scrubbers as it can harm the quality of the plastic. The best part is that it takes very little space in a kitchen cabinet and makes the job of draining and washing much easier, thanks to the sliding handles.
