Alphonso mango is known as the King of the Kings. As compared to other varieties, Alphonso is one of the most expensive mangoes due to its flavor and color.
The key difference between Real Alphonso Mango Nectar and other mango juices available in market aisles is the mango content used. The former uses only Alphonso mango pulp, whereas other juices use a blend of mango pulp concentrates.
Real Fruit Power Alphonso Mango Nectar features a thick yet easy-pour consistency that is quite similar to that of homemade aamras.
Visually, this had a pleasing mango-like appearance. The glass gets a coating of the pulp and we could not see any fiber.
Alphonso mangoes have that sweet, fruity fragrance. This beverage had a similar scent that was refreshing.
In terms of taste, this hits the spot! Refreshing, this beverage has captured the classic Alphonso mango taste pretty decently. There’s an undeniable richness coming from the sweet and slightly tangy flavor profile. The fact that it does not taste artificial or industrial was impressive.
That said, looking at the ingredient list and nutritional label, we were disappointed. It contains additives like acidity regulators, stabilizers, colors, and flavors we wouldn’t consume otherwise. Moreover, the added sugar per 100 ml is quite high.
