This Punjabi kheer premix comes in a brown pouch that is made using paper. The best part is that the pouch pack is resealable. The 125 gm pack costs Rs 165/- and has a shelf life of six months.
The list of ingredients includes – Rice, sugar, rice flour, almonds, cashew, elaichi, and kesar.
A big thumbs for the clean list of ingredients. There are no preservatives and artificial sweeteners used here.
Method Of Preparation
- Firstly, in a pan add 1 liter milk to the kheer premix. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Now, cook the mixture on a low flame for 10-12 minutes until you get the desired consistency.
- Finally, your kheer is ready to be served!
The pack suggests: To get that perfect maa ke haath ki kheer, you can also sprinkle finely chopped pista and cardamom powder.
We could spot short, broken rice grains, powdered sugar, lot of almond slivers and a few bits of cashews in the dry mix. Once we added the premix to the milk, the kheer started turning a natural yellow color due to the saffron.

We tried this kheer both hot and cold. Though we loved it both ways, it totally depends upon personal preferences as to how you wish to have it.
