SUPERB!

Summary

Mishry savored Malkist Cheese Cracker. It was a delightful surprise as the cracker retained a crisp bite and wasn’t too dense or heavy. The flavor profile wasn’t complicated, it was a favorable balance between cheesy, salty, and sweet.

The classic cheese dip + cracker combo was revamped when Malkist launched their cheese cracker biscuits.

It is nothing but cheese layered between two sugar-sprinkled crackers. While this sounds incredibly appetizing, there’s so much that could go wrong. Stale cheese, soggy crackers, imbalance of salt/sugar. Read Mishry’s Malkist Cheese Cracker biscuits to find out more.

2. Texture

Does the cheese have that luscious, melt-in-the-mouth texture, or is it grainy? Is the cracker crisp? Is the crunch bold?

What about sugar? Do the granules add a desirable mouthfeel?

All you need to know about malt

Malt comes from partially germinated cereal grains that may add flavor and enhance the nutritional value of the food/beverage. It is rich in fiber and minerals like potassium, folate, and vitamin B6.

We scanned the nutrition labels and found the malt and B vitamins claims. Per 100 grams, it offers 0.55 mg of vitamin B1, 0.29 mg of vitamin B2, 0.37 mg of vitamin B6, and 0.81 mcg of vitamin B12.

malkist cheese cracker packing
The cracker was packed in a vibrant orange pack.

Texture- The cracker was crisp but quite crumbly. It felt light on the palate, there was no heaviness from fats. The layer of cheese looks like a regular slice (but thinner). Sugar is sprinkled on top which added a subtle graininess.

Taste- The components (cheese and sugar) may not always work well. But fortunately, it worked in the favor of this cracker. The cheese flavor is not too complex but when tasted with the cracker and sugar- it was fairly appetizing. The cheese was slightly salted which paired well with the sugar. This cracker is prepared with ingredients like milk powder and cheese powder, but it had no synthetic aftertaste.
