Product Details
This paneer double-decker comes in a white and red pouch pack. There is no tray and these are placed right in the pack. A 360-gram bag contains 4 pieces of the double-decker and costs Rs. 325.
It has a 12-month shelf life.
We felt the pricing of Rs. 325 for 4 pieces was a bit expensive. Considering the total cost, the per-piece price comes to Rs. 81.
Main Ingredients
The main ingredients are: Paneer (40%), Bread Crumb (Refined Wheat Flour (Maida), Dextrose, Salt, Spices and Condiments, Yeast], Water, Refined Palm Oil, Cheese [Pasteurised Cow’s Milk, Pasteurised Skimmed Milk, lodised Salt, and Stabiliser (Calcium Chloride).
Microbial Culture and Microbial Rennet], Jalapeno, Predust [Stabiliser (Guar Gum)], Tomato Paste, Batter Mix [Stabiliser (Guar Gum)], Basil, Seasoning Spices and Herbs, Rice Flakes, and Lemon Juice Powder are also included in the list.
Cooking Process
Deep frying is the only recommended method for cooking them. There is no need to defrost them.
We deep-fried them until they were golden brown. This took about 5 minutes on low-medium flame.
Tip: We suggest frying them on low heat for around 5 minutes to ensure that it cooks till the center.

Aroma + Appearance
These are fairly large in size and super thick pieces. They are square in shape.
This frozen snack has two layers of paneer stuffed with a herby tomato sauce, chopped jalapeno, and cheese. The outer layer has a peach-orange color.
The stuffing has a pleasant, herby, pizza-like aroma.
Taste
Everything from the freshness of the paneer to the flavor of the filling was exceptional. The paneer is soft and fresh as one would expect. Thumbs up!
The spice intensity ranges from medium to high. Definitely not ideal for children or those with a low spice tolerance.
The jalapeno and the basil add to the freshness of the patty. The jalapeño adds a pleasant punch of chilli when we bite through them. The cheese is fresh too and has no industrial or stale aftertaste.
Texture
The layer on the outside is thick but showcases a desirable crispness. The best part is that it did not soak up any excess oil on frying.

We loved every element from the outer layer to the center filling. Beautifully seasoned filling stuffed between soft, fresh paneer slices wrapped in a thick outer covering that nails the ideal crispness. This one has only green flags. Although the pricing may feel steep, the quality of the product supports it.
