As compared to any durum wheat or maida-based pasta, this one had a dark color. The twisted shape of this pasta is interesting and eye-catching. Despite having a twisted shape ,the pasta was cooked to perfection.
During our review, we found this buckwheat pasta had a slight chewy texture, but not rubbery. The texture is a bit grainy and has a firmer bite in comparison to regular pasta.
Pasta prepared using maida or wheat are white in color. The Healthy Alternatives Natural Buckwheat Pasta Fusilli has a dark brown color which is due to the presence of buckwheat.

We tested the Healthy Alternatives Natural Buckwheat Pasta Fusilli for its taste, texture and ability to take on the flavors of the sauce. For our review, we ordered a 250 gm box which was priced at INR 175. During the dry inspection, we noticed that the pasta was well packed and had a dark brown color .
We cooked the pasta in the same way as mentioned on the pack. We boiled the pasta in 1 liter of salted water for six minutes. After six minutes, the pasta became tender.
We tossed it a tablespoon of olive oil and 1/4th Tbsp of salted butter. We did not taste this with any sauce as we wanted to gauge the actual flavor of the pasta.
