We placed an order for this pizza and the delivery arrived super quickly. Unfortunately, when the delivery arrived, our pizza crust was completely broken as seen in the image below. The broken pizza crust made it absolutely impossible to use them for cooking. We later contacted the brand’s customer care and much to our delight they were super quick to revert. Our replacement arrived the very next day which was intact.

Nutritional Evaluation

First things first, let’s examine the nutritional label. Per 100 gm, this pizza crust has 304.62 kcal of energy, 13.46 g of fat, 9.08 g of protein and 36.79 g of carbohydrates.

When compared to white maida pizza base which has approximately 59.82 grams of carbs, and approximately 2 to 4 g of protein, the Gobbleright pizza crust offers a better protein and lower carb content.

Our Verdict

Visually, this pizza has the look and feel of a whole wheat pizza base. This is a thin crust pizza.

Here’s are details of our testing process:

  • We first heated the pizza base from both sides.
  • Then applied a generous layer of homemade tomato and garlic pizza sauce on the base.
  • We then topped it with a few yellow bell peppers, green capsicum, onions along with a generous proportion of grated cheese.

There are two unique ingredients used for crafting this pizza base – sattu and jowar flour. This pizza base imparts a mild taste similar to bhunna channa, thanks to the presence of sattu flour. Surprisingly, this tasted good and lends a more rustic taste and texture to the pizza!

Despite the presence of sattu and jowar flours, which are said to be slightly drying, the overall mouthfeel of the pizza base does not feel too dry. While there is a tad bit of dryness and a mild flavor of sattu towards the end, it is far from being unpleasant or off-tasting!

Do note that the pizza base is salted on its own so it is advisable to go slightly easy on the salt in your sauce.

Price Point

Priced at Rs. 125 per base, this is an expensive product which makes it lean more towards being a niche product. This would be ideal for someone who has specific dietary restrictions/needs.
