Act II’s Olive Oil Diet Popcorn: #FirstImpressions

We have enjoyed earlier low-calorie versions of Diet Popcorns by Act II. This one disappoints. It is chewy and not tasty at all.

Olive oil could be considered a healthier alternative to other vegetable oils since it contains a healthy amount of good fats. Even wondered what would happen if this good oil is used to make one of the top snacks ever made, popcorn? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore. Act II’s new range of diet popcorns has a variant just like that. Made using olive oil and with just 41 calories per bowl, let’s see if this diet-popcorn has the same quality in its taste.

#FirstImpressions of Act II’s Olive Oil Diet Popcorn

We have enjoyed earlier low-calorie versions of Diet Popcorns by Act II. This one disappoints. It is chewy and not tasty at all. The kernels don’t pop well, and you end up with a snack that doesn’t have an overall good experience.

The list of ingredients does show Palm Oil before Olive Oil. By law, the ingredients have to appear in the order of quantities used. So, if there is less Olive Oil used, and it is not tasty, we wonder why anyone would opt for this snack. Sure, this offers fewer calories, but there are other variants – some from ACT II themselves – that offer similar calories along with taste.

We wouldn’t be buying this again.
