Flavor Notes For Ahaar Besan
In our quest to find the best besan brand for our pakodas, we tested seven brands for our review. We wanted to test all the brands for their crunchiness and taste through two methods – dry tasting and by making aloo pakodas.
Ahaar Besan emerged as our second runners up. We dry tasted all the contenders, and Ahaar Besan had a strong chana aroma. It had a fine texture.
For the pakodas – We noticed that the batter made using Ahaar Besan was very airy and very easy to whip up. The potato slices coated evenly and with ease. The aloo pakodas made using Ahaar besan were not crunchy but had an almost spongy-airy texture. The besan-flavor was tasty.
