How did we make these stir fry noodles?
We prepared these noodles following the instructions on the pack. For that, we boiled the noodles in water for 5-6 minutes.
In another pan, we cooked the sauce mix and veggies in 300 ml of water for the same duration as the noodles. The noodles were drained and mixed in with the sauce-veggie mix. Once all combined, we drizzled some of the chilli oil, and this was ready to be served to our panel of reviewers.
Aroma + Appearance
The noodles were a mix of long and short strands and had a yellow hue, as the ingredient list mentioned turmeric. The saucemaker was a deep red and the veggies cut into large chunks. Something that you don’t ordinarily see in an instant meal. The distinctive fine, sharp aroma of soy sauce and spicy notes of chilli sauce were most prominent in the tastemaker.
Taste + Texture
This was a bowl of delicious noodles. The garlicky, spicy notes of schezwan were on point. It had salt and spice in the right proportions, making the meal taste desirable. Another commendable factor is the overall freshness. The veggies had retained their natural flavors, and the ginger garlic bits lent bursts of earthy flavors.
The texture was equally as impressive. Once boiled, the noodles developed a non-sticky, chewy bite. They had the springiness and were neither too thick nor thin. The veggie chunks rehydrated beautifully and had a soft crunch to them. The sauce to noodle ratio was spot-on.
The fact that this has a clean ingredient list gets a big thumbs up.
