Our Experience
We tested the Orpat hand blender in three stages to gauge its versatility. These were a soup test, one with pureeing fruits and making a milkshake, and the final was blending raw tomatoes.
This is a well-designed blender. Neither is the grip uncomfortable nor does the button hurt the thumb after continuous usage. Of the five contenders, Orpat was the only one that came with a jar.
Stage 1
The blender made some noise but it wasn’t bothersome. The result was an evenly smooth and well-blended soup.
Stage 2
This blender comes with a wide-mouth jar that ensures spill-free blending. To prepare the milkshake, we took 150 ml milk, ½ cup mango cubes, and ½ tbsp sugar and blitzed the mix for exactly 30 seconds.
Within this time, the shake had blended well and had an even consistency. No lumps of the fruit in the shake! Moreover, the jar didn’t wobble too much.
Stage 3
Finally, we pureed some raw tomatoes. Like stage one, the motor did make some noise. Compared to our Top Pick, Orpat did require relatively more effort in smashing the tomatoes but once done, the process was smoother. It barely took 20 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some interesting FAQs on Orpat 250 watt hand blender
1. How is this different from a mixer grinder?
Mixer grinders are powerful appliances that are used for relatively tougher ingredients like roasted spices. They can be used to grind dry masalas and batters. Immersion/stick blenders are an immersive appliance ideal for soft ingredients and can be immersed into narrow jars and vessels. Example – Soups can be blended (once cool) in the pressure cooker without increasing the amount of dirty dishes.
2. Does this hand blender require any pre installation before using?
No, you can directly plug it in and blend the ingredients.
3. Can this hand blender be used for beating eggs?
Yes, you can. The beaten eggs can be used for preparing omelets and meringues.
4. Can this blender be used for preparing the batter of cakes?
Ideally, a balloon whisk should be used as it helps aerate the batter well. But if you do not have the option, you can use this as well. This eliminates the hassle of long mixing periods and ensures a smooth, well-mixed batter.
5. For what purpose is a hand blender used?
Hand blenders are among the most useful appliances to have in your kitchen. From pureeing vegetables to blending soups, sauces, gravies, hand blenders are quite versatile.
Final Verdict
Orpat hand blender performed well across the three stages. It did generate some noise but looking at the efficiency and price factors, this is a pretty good, economical pick. Moreover, it comes with a blending jar that reduces the number of utensils needed.
