Hamdard Nariyal Paani Tender Coconut Water – Detailed Review
Product Inspection: Hamdard Nariyal Paani Tender Coconut Water comes in a small plastic bottle. The bottle looks sleek and is easy to carry. Appearance-wise, this coconut water looks clear and contains no fibers.
Taste Test: Our taste test was spread across two days. The brand mentions that the taste of this packaged coconut water will vary from bottle to bottle. Hence, we decided to review this coconut water over 2 days by tasting 3 bottles. All the 3 bottles of coconut water were tasted chilled. The results for both days are as follows:
Day 1 Results: The first bottle we reviewed had an overly sweet taste. It felt very unnatural. It comes nowhere close to the taste of fresh coconut water. We reviewed the product again since we could not figure out why this coconut water tasted so sweet despite containing no added sugar.
Day 2 Results: On day 2, we ordered two more bottles from an online portal to gain more clarity on the overall taste. To our surprise, these two bottles were not overly sweet. The sweetness was mild here. Though it does not replicate the taste of natural coconut water, it feels refreshing. It does come close to the flavor of a fresh coconut water.
All three bottles of coconut water tasted different, just as the brand claims.
Nutrition Label: Consuming coconut water is synonymous with having a healthy drink. Hamdard Nariyal Paani Tender Coconut Water contains no added sugar and no added flavors. We liked that! The use of preservatives (INS 234) bothers us. There is nothing more natural than fresh coconut water. Infusing this natural drink with preservatives tends to affect its intrinsic goodness.
That said, as per a study, the presence of INS 234 is meant to reduce bacterial growth in coconut water without affecting the color and clarity of the beverage.
