- Mix the contents of the pack with at least 125 ml of water. Stir to a smooth batter. Pour into Gits Jalebi Maker or alternatively in a thick cloth with a small hole.
- Heat 250 g of oil and hold the nozzle of the maker above the surface. Squeeze and make circles from the batter.
- Deep fry on medium heat till they are crisp and golden.
- Immerse the jalebis in warm sugar syrup for 20 seconds.

However, when it comes to the job of making jalebi, there is a certain skill involved that we cannot ignore. Traditional halwais take years to master that art of crafting the perfect circles of batter that eventually lead to symmetrical, same-size jalebis.
Obviously, this product is not meant for professional halwais. It is meant for cooking enthusiasts who want to give this a shot at home, and who, in all likelihood, will try this at home for the first time with a kit like this.
For a regular buyer of this product, this kit definitely works. But because the ease of making jalebis using this kit will matter more to a new user, an amateur if you like, we decided to ask our video producer to try her hand at making these jalebis. With no background in making jalebi’s ever, her experience is similar to what a first-time-user would encounter.

In fact, the instructions for the sugar syrup were also spot on, and consistency and quantity of the syrup turned out just right for 25 jalebis.
Creating the perfect circles for the jalebis may be tough in the beginning, but eventually, you observe what works best in terms of the temperature of the oil, hand movements to create reasonably okay shaped Jalebis.
Even before being dipped in the sugar syrup or chashni, the jalebis taste good and are mildly sweet. Irrespective of the shape of jalebi, the crunch and bite are very much there. Once you dip them in the sugar syrup, all the flavors come together. What you get are really tasty jalebis, cooked in the comfort of your kitchen, with quality oil and satisfactory hygiene.
As we mentioned earlier, how good-looking and symmetrical the jalebis are will depend on the skill/expertise and experience of the cook. You will get around 20-25 jalebis, as suggested in the box, but it may depend on the size of the circles you make, along with trials and errors.
