Since Evolve Snacks call themselves ‘healthy’, we were looking for a clean ingredient list, a decent macronutrient distribution, a favorable balance of flavors, freshness, and how have the chips been prepared.

These chips are prepared using ragi as the base ingredient. Could we taste the earthy nutty flavors of ragi or are these seasoned too boldly?
High on salt or high on spice, how did these chips taste?

Taste & Texture
Our pack comprised of broken and unbroken pieces of chips. They had a deep mustard brown appearance and were ribbon-shaped. The chips were coated with the seasoning. Texture-wise, these were quite hard. This is to say, the chips did not have a crunch as soft/delicate as potato chips. They had the classic millet crunch. The chips didn’t feel oily or heavy, they were light and addictive.
Taste-wise, the salt was perfectly balanced. The spice is medium with the nutty flavor of ragi. The sun dried tomatoes added a tang and the curry powder tied all flavors together. All-in-all, the chips tasted fresh.
