What are we looking for? We are looking for a prominent chilli flavor and impeccable crunch while reviewing Bingo! Korean Style Spicy Chips.

The following parameters are set for our review: 

1. Taste

As indicated by the labels, these are spicy Korean style chips. Hence our core focus was on the intensity of spiciness delivered. Is the heat subtle or pronounced? 

In addition, the salt content and the aftertaste of fat was also gauged here.

We are looking for two main points- a noticeable crunch and non-greasy mouthfeel. How thick or thin is the cut of the potatoes?

Bingo! Korean Style Spicy Chips have a combination of red, black and yellow color packaging. A 21 gm pack is priced at Rs. 10. It has 4 months of shelf life. 

Main Ingredients 

These are made using the following ingredients – Potatoes (58.8%), Refined palm olein oil, Seasoning (Sugar, Iodised salt, Spices and condiments, Nature identical flavoring substances, Acidity regulators (INS330, 260, 334, 296), Garlic, Dehydrated onion, Natural and natural flavoring substances, flavor enhancer (INS 635), Refined sunflower oil), and Iodised salt.

Testing Experience 

Appearance-wise, these are thin wafer-style chips. The aroma of red chili predominates here. 

We expected spicy chips and spicy chips are what we got! As we tasted the chips, the prominent and smoky red chili flavor was quite evident. The heat keeps on intensifying as you have more and more chips. 

You can feel the spiciness right at the back of your throat. These chips also have a delightful garlicky warmth that intertwines with the chili, resulting in an enhanced flavor experience. 

Lastly, the crunch, the crispness and the overall texture deserves an applause too.
